Thanks for the great repo!

I see lots of unanswered questions, plus a PR I would like to use that has been waiting for months... If this isn't going to be maintained, is AlexNek the new official maintainer?

His fork at https://github.com/AlexNek/BlazorSortableList seems more current with .NET 8 support, plus he seem to control the nuget package which is how everyone will want to use this.

If that's the case please clarify on the readme so people can understand what they should be using, and where they should be contributing. As it stands I can't use this and people are wasting effort. Thanks. :)

In the beginning, I just want to make this project better. My changes were really big for the pull request and the most important change is the architectural concept. I try to add everything I think is useful, but in my fork not much user activity. I can improve the project as long as I know your wishes. I love Blazor and created some other controls.

I cannot say anything about this repo state.

@AlexNek It's cool that you've done such work. do you plan to solve issues of this project in your fork (for example, add nesting)?

As long as I can see the needs, I can try to solve them. But there must be a tendency. If only one person needs something - it is one problem, if many, it is another.
Implementing list nesting is not so simple. We need to have a similar Blazor control and add some action mapping.

But in general, only your activity will contribute to the development of the project.

I also needed nesting, for what it's worth.

I ended up going with MudBlazor, which is overkill for this one problem since it's an entire opinionated UI framework with several controls. Also, while it does look pretty good visually, it isn't quite as nice as this project... SortableJS is hard to beat design-wise.

I would have preferred to use this but I didn't get that "this is a healthy product that definitely has a clear maintainer" type of vibe. ;)
