Write more specific error messages for failing to read files

eg. IsADirectory outputs an error like {file} is a Directory and etc.

We can write more of these, but not all of them. Some of these, like IsADirectory, are unstable APIs.
Once the API rust-lang/rust#86442 becomes stable, we can add the rest.
