Intent to close snippet modal results in leaving website

Describe the bug
When landing on a snippet from google search results, clicking outside of the modal takes you back to google.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Google Search for 'supabase edit policy'
2. Click on the database.dev result
3. Click outside the modal (blurred area)
4. Arrive back at google (or I'm guessing whatever page you came from)

Expected behavior
Close the modal and keep visitor on the website, allowing them to browse snippets and reduce your bounce rate
