[Feature request] Extend this to support socket APIs

This looks great, but the API I'm building at the moment is almost entirely socket-based. Could this be extended to support that as well? (Or is there something similar for socket APIs?)

Hi @scouten currently sockets are not supported but I might add it in near future (when our project will need it). This was just quickly written because we needed documentation but I have some cool ideas for this project :)
