Some user documentation needed #115
Description
I have been using your tool with great pleasure but there are several things where I would welcome some clarification / documentation. Obviously, your use case seems to be having the Marcer GameDVD and download updates from his FTP (and similar projects like Fujiology).
- What should be my setup if I don't have the DVD? Should I provide empty "USB" folder and download it to "patch" ?
- If so, what is the effect of keeping it that way when I start ftp-sync next time?
- What are all those
safety syncs ? - What happens if files / folder are removed on the FTP? Are they removed also locally?
- If so, how do you sync things if a folder which was on (presumably immutable) USB is now deleted?
Perhaps I could come up with others but these are the most burning ones for me. My experience was that if I started with empty "USB" and let everything download into "patch", the next time I started the tool it seemed like all files are redownloading again? So I have learned to copy everything from "patch" to "usb" (I don't understand why they are duplicates sometimes, is it those safety sync'ed files?) and only then start the tool again (and repeat). Did you mean it use in such way?
