file is broken msg on mac

I downloaded 1.5 and 1.4. I unzipped.
Copy Reader.app to applications.

On first run I get message I have to install legacy java 6. Installed.
On subsequent run I get

“Reader.app” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

I notice help page says:

Download the installation package and run it. This installs SismicsReader.app in Applications. Start it by opening Applications and click the Reader icon. A small RSS icon will appear in the menu bar.

After installing and starting Reader, open the Reader web page on http://localhost:4001.

Installation package?? SismicsReader?
