Description
To improve usability and provide real-time feedback to users, a status bar should be added at the bottom of the CollabNote editor interface.
This feature will display essential document details such as word count, language, accessibility status, and other relevant metadata — similar to the status bar in Microsoft Word.
Proposed Features
- Status Bar Display
- Fixed bar at the bottom of the note editor.
- Non-intrusive, minimal, and responsive design.
- Auto-updates in real time as users type or edit.
- Information to Display
- Page count or total document sections (if applicable).
- Word count and character count.
- Document language (e.g., English (India)).
- Accessibility status (e.g., “Good to go” or “Issues found”).
- Last saved or synced time.
- Active collaborators (optional small indicator).
Why This Matters
- Gives users immediate feedback on their work (word count, accessibility, etc.).
- Makes CollabNote feel more like a complete word-processing environment.
- Improves accessibility awareness and encourages best practices.
- Helps writers and editors track their progress efficiently.
