vol switch possible?

I use this wonderful timer all the time.

Been meaning to ask for a while, is there any possibility of adding a volume control switch to it? The bells are quite loud, which is sometimes good; other times, a bit jarring to those nearby.

As with #3, I see the value but I'm too lazy to make concrete decisions about how this should be done. If one more person expresses interest in this feature, I'll accept a PR for it. In the meantime, here's a hotfix you can apply yourself:

$ sed -i -E 's/(play -qt mp3)/\1 -v ${TIMER_VOLUME:-1}/' "$(which timer)"

With this, the volume still defaults to 100% but can now be configured via an environment variable:

# set volume to 50%
$ TIMER_VOLUME=0.5 timer 5
