Cannot copy larger files (when transfer takes more than 20 seconds)

Describe the bug
I'm unable to copy/download larger files with the stock Files app. Transfer stops after 20 seconds with following in the log:

E/ActivityManager: ANR in com.island.filemanagerutils

(Possibly intentional kill by Files/DocumentsUI after 20 seconds of blocking? It actually always stops/fails after 20 seconds.)

Expected behavior
Copying larger files (including transfers over 20 seconds long) works in samba-documents-provider implementation.
