[Q] How to restore ‘Retired’ posts? #167

Hey everyone!
Some weeks ago I stumbled over many posts w/ the ‘Retired’ post status (fwpretired) in my PW installation …
For example I found/have ‘Retired’ posts that are currently present in their (RSS/Atom) feed. So I miss (can not find) them in my WP frontend …
Because I do not really understand (the code for) this post status and could not find any hints at the WP Plugin Support Forums or this issue tracker I will ask with this new issue:
→ What are ‘Retired’ posts, how can that posts become restored (= become available in the WP frontend again) and are there any settings in the WP backend to control the current behaviour?
