I recently started sourcing some of components for a test board and fount that the BMX160 used for the IMU is no longer available for purchase.

Is it at all possible to use a 6 axis same form factor chip without serious modifications to the code? There seems to be plenty of 6axis replacements on the market.

I'm not a project maintainer, etc.. just a user.

There's not a replacement to the bmx160 in the same footprint, AFAIK. And, the bigger issue is, BMX160 has flight heritage, where most of the replacements would not.
