About Restangular!

Hello!
Thanks for writing this awesome documentation. I was wondering about Restangular, did you add it to your application's project example? can you share how would you configure a project without adding that? is it possible? I mean, or is it mandatory?

Hi Bruno.

Yep, this sample uses Restangular. You can see it in the Index.cshtml and in the BundleConfig.cs:

The actual use of it is in restaurant.service.js

You could use $resource instead - which is built in to AngularJS. I don't use $resource for a couple of reasons though:

• it doesn't support ETags - see my blog post on ETags
• it doesn't support PUT out of the box (it's got a non-rest .save() method),
• it doesn't expose the promises directly (it hides it with exposing an empty object that gets filled when the response is received)
