PreAuth setClient ignored when adding creditcards

I'm using the PHP SDK. When trying to add a credit card ->setClient(ClientID) is ignored in Preauthorization and a new client is being created. With direct debit this works without problems. This has always worked fine, we have nothing changed in our code and it stopped working. Could it be that there is a temporary bug in the sandbox api? Thanks in advance.
