Update plotting documentation

A lot of changes are currently made to the plotting functionality. This issue keeps track of these changes and acts as a reminder to modify the documentation afterwards accordingly.

• Fix tikz/pdf and add latex to devcontainer #287 enables saving LaTeX images as .pdf or .svg files. Explain this functionality and add an explanation to the getting started page about the required dependencies.
