I just got into this upscaling image thing and the Waifu models are the only ones that seem to offer online usage [my computer cant run anything]. Here are the results. The WaifuXL uses super blur, and removes certain designs and even draws its own thing into the image. Its barely noticeable. But for accuracy Waifyx2 seems way better. This is my first test of image upscalers and it is a limited use case but for now there is a winner. But iv setup a poll so others can choose which is better. [The thing iv noticed is the 3 black lines in the middle right of the image, which WaifuXL removes/disconnects the line to the furthest right which you have to zoom to see it clearly. It also melts/smooths a lot of details and shapes in the process of trying to smooth things out. Where Waifux2 also does smoothing (denoising i assume) it doesn't disconnect the black line to the furthest right of the 3 black lines or melt/smooths details and shapes. While I do appreciate the smoothing WaifuXL does, it also does change certain designs that are not simply artifacts. Perhaps for more cartoony images WaifuXL is better, but for images with more design details, which i need to test, it would destroy too much.]
