Convert .heic file to .jpg using Java ImageIO sample code does not convert heic file to jpeg

Hi,

The conversion sample on github for converting heic to jpeg/jpg file does not convert heic to jpeg/jpg.
Also test code is not complete has errors for fields frames.get(key) line as both frames and key are not defined in sample code.

The example code you provided unfortunately contains many errors among which is using undeclared variables, accessing protected fields and not using getters and wrongfully create a BufferedImage with an alpha channel when decoding for JPEG. JPEG do not support alpha resulting in a failure to save the JPEG. This works:

BufferedImage bufferedImage = new BufferedImage(width, height, BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB);
int[] pixels = image.getInt32Array(PixelFormat.Argb32);
bufferedImage.setRGB(0, 0, width, height, pixels, 0, width);
ImageIO.write(bufferedImage, "jpg", new File(...));
