[Feature request]: traffic_editor function

Hello, I’m making great use of RMF features, which I find very useful. However, I’ve been experiencing some inconveniences with the traffic_editor features, so I’d like to make a feature request. The branch I’m currently using is the Humble version, so it’s possible that these have already been updated—if so, please let me know!

1.Please allow each polygon to have a definable name.

2. When adding objects, please make it so that IDs are automatically assigned when adding objects of the same model. (Renaming multiple objects manually is very tedious.)

3. It would be helpful to have a feature that defines which objects are located in each polygon/area. (Currently, in the building.yaml format, it’s hard to distinguish which objects are located where.) → If this feature becomes available, I believe it would be extremely useful.

The core Open-RMF team does not plan on introducing any new features to the traffic-editor since our focus is on developing the site editor to a point where the traffic-editor can be replaced.

If community members want to contribute new features to the traffic editor, we could review those contributions, but otherwise we consider traffic-editor to be feature-frozen.
