WinNUT Client appears multiple times in system notification settings

The screenshot shows that in Windows 11 Settings->System->Notifications the WinNUT Client application appears multiple times.

Expected behavior
Even if I install multiple pre-release and debug builds I only expect one entry for WinNUT client in the system notification settings as in the "Apps->Installed apps" section.

Hi @yoyoma2, thanks for contributing another report. I can confirm this one too:

From my research, it looks like this may be an issue going back to Windows 10, and is unfortunately Windows behavior that may be out of my control. I'll have to look into it more just in case. Here's a guide on how to manually intervene and remove entries you don't want. In doing so, I noticed something interesting:

It looks like my accumulation of WinNUT entries is from me launching non-installer builds. I'm curious if you notice the same thing.

The fact that WinNUT is able to send Windows 10+ notifications at all is something that's sort of hacked in, so I'll have to see if this is something I can work around.

Update: I've deleted all of the registry keys pictured above, except for the key {7C5A40EF-A0FB-4BFC-874A-C0F2E0B9FA8E}/WinNUT-client/WinNUT-Client.exe. After logging/signing out and back in, the Notification settings menu is back to only one WinNUT instance. I'll continue looking into this in case people want to have multiple instances of WinNUT available.
