spells windows stops recording new spell actions when minimized/closed

This is unexpected behavior.  Sometime I need to minimize to see what's on the screen since they don't behave like normal windows (always on top).

I feel that there is no reason why spell information reporting/recording is/should stopped when the window is closed/minimized (unchecked from app icon in taskbar).
