Cannot establish connection with server

Describe the bug
running "npm start" I'm getting an error trying to connect.

Could not connect to master message=socket hang up, stack=Error: socket hang up

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Just run "sudo npm start" on cli

Expected behavior
I expect the client to connect to server and I expect to see the statistics.json file incrementing values
