print/display messages do not show up at the end of the notebook

to reproduce issue
notebook: normalization_with_simplify_selection
instrument: cg1d
ipts: 36100
sample: /raw/radiographs/2025_09_25_CTF_Tian/

run notebook all th way. some messages are supposed to show up at the end of the notebook after selecting the output folder !!!!!
