Auto Boost Essential 2.0 Preview : Failure of vs-zip

Hi,

There is an error when trying to calculate metrics.
"vs-zip not found. Check your installation".

Using the "--debug" parameter, I could confirm the plugin was not missing. So I guess there is a failure somewhere.

As a workaround, I used "--ssimu2 gpu" to switch to VShip, that worked for me.

I am using Windows 11. My CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, and my GPU a Nvidia Geforce RTX 5070.

The context that triggered the error is an update of Auto Boost Essential Portable, from version 1.2 to 1.3.

Here is the changelog for information :

• Upgraded svt-av1-essential to SVT-AV1-Essential_v3.1.2-Essential_+_ffms2_v3_PSYfeat2.patch which will result in higher quality for the highquality.bat scripts.

• znver2 is the default binary, if your Intel or AMD CPU supports this, it will be fastest. A x86-64-v3 .exe is provided for compatibility, located in tools\SVT-AV1-Essential builds, you may manually switch out the .exe file if needed.
  • Add resume support. Auto-Boost-Essential script supports resuming. The av1 encoding performed by svt-av1-essential does not support resuming.
  • Added tool extras\compress-folders.bat. For Windows 10/11 this will compress the VapourSynth and tools folders, saving about 60% of space.
  • New Troubleshooting Tool: Added extras\lossless-intermediary.bat.
• Use this if you have a "problematic" video that crashes or refuses to encode properly.
• It converts your video into a clean, lossless file that you can use as a stable source to ensure smooth encoding. Place your mkv file in the "tools" folder and run lossless-intermediary.bat
  • New Opus Audio Tool: Added extras\encode-opus.audio.bat for easy audio compression.
• Automatically extracts audio from your MKV videos and converts it to high-quality, space-saving Opus format.
• Smartly processes multiple files at once using your CPU's full threads and saves a new video with opus audio to an output folder.
  • extras\forced-aspect-remux.bat added. After av1 encoding is complete, run this to copy over forced aspect ratio from source files to the av1 mkv.

I'll update this if the issue is found.

same issue but with vship. Found in debug but not at stage 2. Did you find a solution ?
