Changes in elasticsearch 1.8.0 are not compatible with the current version of elasticutils. bulk_index has been depricated.

ElasticUtils is a dead project and hasn't had any activity since March. You should switch to a different Elasticsearch library or, if you must, use an older version of elasticsearch-py.
