FWIW, this is a requirement of the Polymer platform HTML Imports polyfill. Currently investigating bundling Brick components into a single JS library in #193, which would get around this

In fact the readme doesn't have a section "using Brick" at all, which it probably should have, even if that only gives a tiny amount of info and otherwise refers to the Brick website.
