Update to work with Arduino 1.8.3 and new USBH_Midi Library?

Hi, trying to get this working with a Arduino UNO, midi shield and USB Host Shield 2.0 but it doesn't seem to recognize my Launchpad. Any tips on how to update this code to work with the new usb host library?

Hi, I'm using a Launchpad Midi which is class-compliant as far as I know. Its just stuck on the boot screen with the "fireworks" and the library never seems to initialize it

Try pushing the session buttons (circle buttons on the left) after boot

Still nothing, doesn't even boot. Just stays in the startup screen.
I think it is possibly an incompatibility with new versions of the library?
Do you know/remember which versions of the USB Host & USBH_Midi library you used to make this sketch?
