Proposed solution
Currently, it is impossible to disable Media Foundation, as it is always enabled for Windows (see portfile.cmake).
It would be a lot better if this were a feature called mediafoundation.
In my case, I statically link, and because there is no way to disable Media Foundation, I have to link against a bunch of Media Foundation libraries that I don’t need or use. Obviously, I can link against all of them libraries I don't need or use, but it just adds clutter.
