THIS TOPIC IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION, THE CONTENTS HERE MAY CHANGE OVERTIME.
Before you start:
Check if the software you want is not available in the store, coming from an official source (developer's account).
Make sure you read the Microsoft Store Guidelines and other useful information available aside on the same page.
Check if there's no other topic about the same software already going on before you create yours.
What you should write on your topic:
You should write as much information as possible about the software, this includes the safest place to download the installer (windows compatible, no source code), a description of what is the software and what does it do, a link to the privacy policy of the software or company that created it and an SVG or EPS version of the original logo (if available).
This will help to build the materials needed to add it to the store.
Other useful information:
A Privacy Policy file or link to a page is 100% needed for a software to be published. Licenses and other types of documents cannot replace the Privacy Policy. If you want a software to be there that has no privacy policy links, you'd better ask the developers one first.
Sadly, Browsers [rule 10.2.1] + Prior Posting Experiences and Emulators [rule 10.13.10] are NOT allowed at the moment on the Microsoft Store.
Some packages simply "break" after the upload to the store, which means that for it to work we would need to mess with the code somehow, and this is not the purpose of this project. In those cases, the software will be just stalled until we find a way to solve the problem without changing any code.
