feature_request(status_bar): disable elapsed time from status bar

1. Summary

It would be nice, if would be possible implemented option — disable elapsed time from status bar.

2. Argumentation

Elapsed time in status bar personally for me is extra feature, I never use it.

This extra data can make it difficult to see useful messages in the status bar. See issue #1642 for details.
