Session error confirming card.

Seems to write the card but then I get this. Happens both on Beta and live App Store versions.

I've seen this before with some blank RFID tags that claim to be one size, but actually are too small to hold the data. ( 114 bytes is needed, minimum ) - Also if you physically TAP the NFC tag ( vs hover ) you can actually cause a bad connection. NFC tags are meant to be nearly-but-not-actually contact.

Do you know where you purchased the tag? Do you know the precise tag type?

https://amzn.to/3INNzHe Bought these. Tried to write again this morning without touching the tag and still got the error. The first few I wrote with the TestFlight release did work. Tried going back to that and it failed as well when I did.

I've made improvements to help with this issue:

What's Happening:
The "session error" is likely occurring during the automatic verification step after writing. The app writes the data successfully, then tries to read it back to verify - but sometimes the NFC session fails to reconnect for verification.

Improvements Made:

1. Increased Delay: Extended the time between write completion and verification start from 1.0 to 1.5 seconds. This gives the tag more time to settle and reduces session conflicts.

2. Better Error Messages: If verification fails, you'll now see a more helpful message explaining:

   • The write may have actually succeeded
   • How to disable auto-verify in Settings
   • Suggestion to manually verify using "Read from Tag"

3. Clearer Status: When auto-verify is disabled, the app now clearly states "Write complete! (Auto-verify disabled in Settings)"

Workaround for Now:

If you continue to experience this issue:

1. Open Settings (gear icon in top-right)
2. Turn OFF "Auto-Verify After Write"
3. After writing, manually tap "Read from Tag" to verify the data was written correctly

This way you can still verify your writes, but with manual control over the timing.

Technical Details:
The session error happens when iOS NFC framework can't restart a session quickly enough. Some combinations of iPhone models, iOS versions, and tag types are more sensitive to this timing. The increased delay should help in most cases.

These improvements will be in version 1.2.0. Let me know if the workaround helps
