MIT vs GLP2 license

Hello, I noticed that the ntplib code that ntpserver.py is based on is licensed GPL2 while ntpserver.py is released under the MIT license. Have you secured permission to release this derivative work under this more permissive license?

The latest commit in ntplib (commit 310550bc164a dated Jul 27, 2015) relicenses ntplib to MIT.
