How to get rid of "Result is off page!"

Hi,

FineFind worked great when I installed it a few months ago, but for the last few weeks it's been misbehaving, in that a popup banner saying "Result is off page" appears whenever the cursor goes over a link, even though there is no search currently going on! I think it stops if I deselect "Show banner for invalid results" on the FineFind settings page, and I have done that to preserve my sanity, but ideallly I would like to see a warning when I am in fact doing a search and there is no match.

Any idea what could be wrong? For completeness I should say that I'm also using vimium (can't live without it), plus some other add-ons that should be harmless -- in any case I was already running them when I installed FineFind.

I know this is a problem since the begin of the development. TBH I also don't really know the reason for this.... So I need more informations about this problem. It whould be very helpfull if you post some concret page urls where this misbehaviour occur. So I can check the HTML structure of these pages. If you have time it whould be also greate if you create a short screen recording showing the way how you interact with the named pages.
