My name is Wendy, and I'm new to this topic. I have a couple of questions regarding the use of this tool. After using Herro, the output file will be in FASTA format, correct? How can I verify if the tool has improved the quality of the dat, since the output is in fasta?

You can use Meryl, based on Illumina data, to assess the accuracy of your ONT reads before and after correction.
