logging credentials for debugging #950

@tcurdt

Description

@tcurdt

It makes total sense to not log the credentials ... but for debugging it sucks.

{"logger":"","ts":"2025-05-27 23:28:25.515194","caller":{"file":"main.go","line":1897},"level":9,"msg":"md5 of credential","url":"https://github.com/foo/bar.git","username":"2a4c...","password":"0ccf2...."}

I am trying to track down a 403.

Be it verbose level 9 or a dedicated cli flag - it would be so much easier if the password ... or at least the first 4 characters could be printed in the log.
