Load New Elements When Bottom Of A Container Is Reached

I have a scrollable panel inside my page and I want to load more elements when I reach the bottom of the panel. Is there a way to set an arbitrary container instead pf the whole window?

I tried implementing the augmented scroll in my app but unfortunately the listener for window.$on('scroll') doesn't seem to fire when i scroll through the window.
