geometric symbols are still displaying as garbled characters

Even after opening with IntelliJ IDEA and changing to UTF-8, the geometric symbols are still displaying as garbled characters.

I had the same issue previously, but only on Windows. After updating the Windows system, currently I cannot reproduce this problem. I am unsure if this is only Windows related, or to Java, or to something else.
