Game freezes on first impact fight after going 4:3 (post skating section)

Describe the bug
After skating section in the first Impact fight, the game slows to a crawl in 4:3 aspect ratio and freezes. Happened the two times I tested it.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Get to the first Impact fight and complete the skating section

Expected behavior
The game to not freeze and for me to fight a big robot

Just to add some more information:

I was running this on auto resolution, at 244hz in widescreen with everything maxed out. After the third crash in the exact same spot, I set everything as low as possible. The crash still occurred in the same exact spot in 4:3 at original fps and res. I did get to hear the Impact theme 5x in a row though while testing this, so not a complete wash.

This makes me think that the sudden slowdown causes the game's event scheduler queue to get filled up, crashing the game. Do the music/sound effects continue to play?

No audio either, just a hard freeze after getting about 1 frame every 30 seconds or so. As soon as those explosions on the ground come into frame

Are you playing with a controller or with your keyboard? If you are playing with a controller, what's the model?

I am using a raphnet n64 to usb adapter.

A change in N64ModernRuntime might have fixed this issue, can you confirm that it is fixed by running the latest build from the file I attached here -- or if you don't trust it, from these artifacts?

Unfortunately, exact same location of the freeze. As soon as those white explosions happen post skating section on the first Impact stage. : (

Is there any logging I can enable to help with the freeze? It totally locks up.
