Modifying to support separate counters for each virtual host

Do you think it's easy/efficient/possible to modify this to support counters by vhost?

Possibly, although this plugin is so outdated I have no idea if it even still works. And even when it "worked", I realized that it wasn't exactly counting what I thought it was. I wouldn't use this as anything more than an idea on how to start your own nginx plugin (if in fact nginx hasn't changed dramatically under the hood, which it probably has in the past couple of years)
