TrayApp opens on the wrong Virtual Desktop (Spaces on macOS) and behaves inconsistently

When using Virtual Desktops / Spaces, the TrayApp window does not behave correctly.
If it is opened on one desktop and then the user switches to another desktop, attempting to open TrayApp again causes OS to switch back to the original desktop, instead of opening the tray on the current one.
