Progress Bar Color Customization

We should be able to customize a default progress bar color inside this composable VideoPlayerSurface. Other workarounds are not that good. Since the video surface background is black, a default color should at least be white and not green.

Also on iOS I've been experiencing lags and UI freezes. This is the console log message btw:

Asset track property "naturalSize" accessed synchronously before being loaded. This blocks all other asset track property loads, including those for other assets on other threads. Use AVAsynchronousKeyValueLoading to load property values asynchronously first.

Progress bar / green color

First, to clarify the design: ComposeMediaPlayer is fundamentally a video surface, not a ready-made video player.
VideoPlayerSurface only handles video rendering and player state; it does not ship with default controls or a progress bar UI.

I’m not sure which green progress bar you’re referring to. Could you please clarify:

• where exactly you see it?
• on which platform?
• whether it comes from your own UI or from the sample code?

You can also check the live sample, which demonstrates two different approaches for progress bars (single player and video attachment), both fully customizable:

This should help identify whether the behavior comes from the UI layer rather than the library itself.

iOS lags / AVPlayer warning

Thanks for reporting this, the log message is relevant.
It indicates a synchronous access to naturalSize, which can block the UI thread.

This will be fixed by switching to asynchronous loading using AVAsynchronousKeyValueLoading, which should address the UI freezes you’re experiencing on iOS.
