I think it could better if there was a printer frendly version of the page. Yes you can download the page for offline viewing in the android version of Chrome but Chrome on Android does not have a print menu AFAIK. The layout on the desktop version of the page is very printer unfriendly. If you try to print the page in Firefox for Windows it includes the side columns and truncates the middle column where the content is.
In Chrome for Windows, printing this page will waste a lot of paper as the actual text and images will only be in a narrow width of the page as the rest is reserved for the column which on the desktop version of the site just contains a table of contents. You can turn on the option which I think is called "simplified view" which only prints the information in the central column (I think this part is everything in the element ...) but it also strips out all the images.
I think many people new making a particular garment would benefit from an option to see a simplified layout which they could print in any desktop browser. Perhaps some kind of document download to PDF or EDPUB or DOC could be nice as this would allow printing from a range of devices as well as viewing on an e-ink device like a Kindle. I realise that you can just look at the instructions on the browser of their phone, but some people only have small screens, and phones are sometimes awkward to handle, as opposed to a few sheets of paper with the relevant instructions. Some may only want to print a few pages of relevant info from the entire instructions, so hopefully not too much paper is wasted.
We should probably add a print-specific stylesheet so that the printing layout is better.
