Description
One thing I use for my Markdown files is front matter, i.e., a place to hold metadata or other side information about the main document. I noticed that if I create front matter in the Source Mode view, it becomes invisible in the Rich Text view.
Feature ideas:
- Include a toggle or option to display front matter in the Rich Text view.
- Use GitHub's standard for displaying front matter in a Rich Text view, as described here](https://github.blog/news-insights/product-news/viewing-yaml-metadata-in-your-documents/).
Other resources:
- Using YAML frontmatter (GitHub Docs)
- Different front matter formats (MarkText docs)
- VS Code extension that renders front matter vertically, improving readability (VS Code Marketplace)
Example of front matter, showing a title, date, and author.
