The Applmage wont open, even after giving it executing permissions

Im using Ubuntu 20.10 and the Applmage file wont open. I tried giving it the correct permissions and nothing worked. Could you explain how I should troubleshoot the problem?

You should check what it outputs when you run it from a terminal

i remember having an old version of steamos with this bug. i think it used to be upstream. i noticed you're using an older ubuntu major version.
