Route grabs nearby images incorrectly

Sometimes on a route, you will get images that don't belong to the same path. This is most obvious when you get to a highway and it seems to "fall" through the highway, onto a road beneath said highway.

Seems you can use "links" to grab the correct adjacent street view. Example: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/streetview-events
