How does this work with ESM Node?

there is no require or module (afaik) in ESM, so is there a way to get pkginfo in ESM Node?

I am using the following to access my package.json info for ESM projects:

import { createRequire } from "module";
const require = createRequire(import.meta.url);
const packageJson = require("./package.json");  // <--- change the path to your packege.json accordingly

I was able to implement the reading in the following way:

import { readFile } from 'node:fs/promises';
import { resolve } from 'node:path';

// Reading file from under the `dist` folder
const packageJsonPath = resolve(import.meta.dirname, '..', 'package.json');
const packageJsonContent = await readFile(packageJsonPath, 'utf8');
const packageJson = JSON.parse(packageJsonContent);
