What is the correct way to use pkginfo in typescript ?

Using the require statement in the example gives an error in typescript.
What would be the correct way to use pkginfo in typescript ?

I managed to do it in two lines:

import pkginfo from 'pkginfo'
pkginfo(module, ['name', 'author', 'license', 'homepage', 'version'])

I was hoping for a better cleaner way.
