Frameo Device Stubbornly Refusing ADB

I've been very happy with Immich as my own self-hosted photo solution, and was hoping to bring some family onboard via a Frameo frame. I specifically picked up the Pastigio "Digital Picture Frame, 15.6 Inch Large Frameo Digital Photo Frame WiFi, 32GB, 1920 * 1080 IPS HD Touch Screen". I see there are some detailed instructions for installing on Frameo frames, but this one is particularly difficult to connect to ADB.
The frame has USB C and A ports. I've tried connecting my Windows desktop to both, with no luck. As best I can tell, Windows isn't even recognizing the device. I have the beta program enabled, and ADB access turned on. I've even tried connecting to the frame's IP address, but the connection is refused, with no popup on the frame itself.
Has anyone had any luck with this frame, or am I better off giving up and returning this thing? Nixplay refugee here.

A couple things come to mind:

1. Did you toggle ADB Access On-Off-On? This is sometimes necessary.
2. I know you said USB C, but one of mine came with a funky mini USB jack that was extra deep. I had to shave down my cable so it could fit all the way in.

I tried something I guess I need to mark as a lesson on any Android tinkering now: If ADB fails to connect, try another cable.
No clue why, but trying another USB cable made my PC recognize the device. It's odd, because the cable that wouldn't work is one I've used several time with full on Android Phones for ADB connections.
As for the various ports on this particular device, no mini USB I can find on mine. It has a USB A, USB C, power (an AC adapter port), headphone (yes, rather odd), and SD card slot. No other ports I can find. The USB C seems to be the only one you can connect through to perform any sort of software interaction, and of course you must have the frame powered via the AC adapter while doing this. The USB A does nothing for connections. My assumption is it's purely for external drives to be plugged to.

Thats weird, but glad you got it. So are you good and this can be closed?

I just ran into the same thing. I have a 15.6 Inch Frameo frame with USB C, USB A, SD and an audio jack. It was refusing to show up in adb devices even though ADB access on the device was enabled.

I solved that by going to Settings->Manage photos->Transfer from computer and enabling usb transfers. Hope this helps others running into the same thing 🙈.
