Add examples

Well to clarify the README it's really more Jeff Garzik's, I've just cleaned it up a bit. It's still pretty rough at the moment.

Off the cuff however, here's approximately how you would go about it.

1. Since inv messages come back from the mempool call then you'll need to add some code to store the transactions recieved through inv hereabouts. This will grow forever unless pruned, so something should probably be done to remove transactions from our copy of their mempool once they're in a block.
2. Probably add to the hacked together json output of their mempool here

Right now it doesn't even connect to more peers than the seed nodes, and it's not overrideable. These are both basic features so I'll open tickets for them, but that gives you a good idea of how incomplete the implementation currently is.

ammm.... yes. Petter Todd gave me this github link after i tried to do this with his python-bitcoinlib
(BTW, is your requirements override his library?)

(So it isn't possible to pull the mempool from a specific node? (i don't want to involve the bitcoin client))

My requirements use the latest version of his python-bitcoinlib, so not really "override" per se.

It is definitely possible to pull the mempool from other bitcoin nodes without using the bitcoin client, but this code needs some more work before it can be used for that directly.

I doubt there's a plug and play library out there right now. https://github.com/richardkiss/pycoinnet/ is the only other Python based lib I know of, but I haven't read through it at all.

My first comment describes briefly how to add this capability to this codebase.
