Settings Menu Disappears After Screen Rotation

Issue Description:
In portrait mode, tapping the Settings button opens the settings menu. After rotating the device, the settings menu disappears and requires tapping the Settings button again to reopen it.

Expected Behavior:
When the settings menu is open in portrait mode, it should remain open after screen rotation, preserving consistent state and a smooth user experience.
