Can't install!

I've got boxee+hacks 1.6.0 installed on a boxee box.
I tried the first method, using app repository. I was able to add the repo, but the boxee says no app available to install. So I telnet to the boxeebox, and wget the zip file, unzipping in to the folder specified in second instruction. Even after a reboot, the app is not listed in apps, favorites, or anywhere I can see. I tried putting the plexee.plexforboxee folder inside a folder named runplex, and rebooted. No dice.

I can't do the third option, as there is no way to get a cert.
Is there something else I can do or try? I don't even see a log output other than messages.

I too am having problems. I tried option 1 but get a message advising that there are no apps in the repository?

it looks like D-Link (or samsung) have killed the boxee website, nothing on my boxee works anymore. I can't use netflix, iplayer or even browse to websites. it just comes up with Boxee user instead of my user account. if you go to boxee.tv you can't login there. I am a bit annoyed that this has happened because I paid £181 for my boxee and I would never have bought it if I knew they were going to turn the servers off a few years later. It's like buying an iPod and not being able to use it a few years later! Apple would never do that! Grant do you know who I should be complaining to? D-link or Samsung? many thanks!

I was afraid of this. I think you should probably complain to both. A couple of years ago the package signing worked and I complained and they ended up turning it back on.

Has anyone else verified these problems?

Hi Grant, any update on this by chance? We have been using our Boxee as a media player (via) USB, but your solution for Plex sounds excellent. I also get the error that "There are no apps currently available in this repository" under method 1. Thanks!

Thanks for the response, I'll try it again tonight, and maybe consider adding BoxeeHacks for method 2 if I'm still having issues.

I'm also experiencing problems installing this app, but I'm using option 1. I add the repository fine but when I try to browse it my Boxee just says that there are no apps available.

Hey Grant, have you managed to squeeze any time in for figuring this out? I've tried a couple of times to install via the repo and it says that no app can be found.

I've also added the files to the folder via FTP and the app doesn't appear either.

Do you have any tips for me how to debug / help figure out whats going wrong?
