Match Pattern Matches URL Paths and Parameters

I have a Match pattern: *://*.example.com/* and it can match the following URL: https://google.com/ref=https://example.com/. But I only want it to match the URL's domain or subdomain. How can I modify the pattern?

https://google.com/ref=https://example.com/ should have been processed by the browser as https://google.com/ref=https%3A%2F%2Fexample.com/. 🤔

Anyway, you can try a Reg Exp pattern e.g. ^https?://(.+\.)?\.example\.com/
